April 5, 2008 MudCats Dancers' Cheer and Dance Camp

The dancers hosted a cheer and dance camp for young girls on Saturday and it was a huge success. Over 50 girls ages 5-12 turned out for the fun-filled day that included lunch, a t-shirt, a free pass to the game, a signed poster, and four hours of learning chants, cheers, and dances. The camp participants will perform at halftime of the MudCats April 19th home game against the Carolina Speed.

CDF Business to Business Connection

The staff and coaches had a blast promoting the MudCats, selling merchandise, and connecting with local businesses at the CDF Business Connection. The team supports the community in every way possible and enjoyed this opportunity to do just that!



Owners' Party January 22, 2008

The current owners of Mississippi MudCats hosted a party for prominent individuals in the North Mississippi community who they believed would be interested in supporting the team by becoming a minority owner. The party was sponsored by Park Heights, one of Tupelo's premier dining destinations, and was a sheer success. Guests enjoyed a brief presentation followed by a tour of the arena and the newly designed MudCat offices. To date, the MudCats have 25 minority owners. To see the full list, please click here.



January 14, 2008

The Mississippi MudCats hosted the winter AIFA league meetings in Tupelo and welcomed owners and coaches from all over the country who represented the 16 teams affiliated with the AIFA. While in town, owners of the AIFA, John Morris and Michael Mink announced that the May 17th home game of the Mississippi MudCats will be nationally televised. The MudCats were honored to host this great event and look forward to being a part of the AIFA's success in 2008.

Lea Waide attends BancorpSouth monthly luncheon as guest speaker.

Lea Waide attended the BancorpSouth luncheon as the guest speaker of Vice President Ernie Joyner on Wednesday. She spoke to bank executives and other guest speakers about the role of the Mississippi MudCats in North Mississippi and importance of community support. She also emphasized the MudCats' new courtesy passes that are now available for schools, organizations, and churches to sell as fundraisers. First Friday December 7, 2007

Waide Professional Sports and Mississippi MudCat owner Jim Waide was the invited guest for CDF's First Friday event hosted at the Barnes Crossing Mall. Players, coaches and staff were in attendance as well has many attorneys and local businessmen. Waide received a standing ovation after being introduced by ICC President Dr. David Cole, who gave an account of Waide's heroism in Vietnam and highlighted the fact that Waide was awarded the Bronze Star.



December 1, 2007 Tupelo Christmas Parade
The MudCats constructed a float to emulate playing football on Christmas morning. The fan club section consisted of MudCat staff showing off MudCat merchandise, while players greeted fans and MudCat Dancers cheered by the candy cane striped goal post. It was an invaluable opportunity to connect with the local community and the MudCats look forward to participating in many of these events!

December 1, 2007 Starkville Christmas Parade
The MudCats headed to Starkville Saturday night to show their support, having just signed MSU star player Omar Connor, just two weeks prior. Lea enjoyed giving an interview to some local media while MudCat Dancers passed out footballs and greeted fans.


November 27, 2007 New Albany Christmas Parade
The MudCats kicked off their Christmas season by participating in the New Albany Christmas Parade to promote the team and raise awareness about the upcoming 2008 season.

Novemer 16, 2007 Hardin House Charity Event
Players, coaches, MudCat Dancers, , and staff appear at the Hardin House Charity Event to show their support for the Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth. Players and MudCat Dancers signed autographs and took pictures.

November 15, 2007 Press Conference
A press conference was held to announce the resigning of Brian Brents, Kirk Broussard, and Gary Patterson and to announce the signing of Mississippi star player, Omar Connor. It was held at Joe Joe's Espresso Shop and had an overwhelming attendance, including the Mayor of Tupelo.
